J Willis Co. created a custom pot rack made of reclaimed, hand hewn wood that was then suspended from a vaulted brick ceiling. Custom cabinetry was built of quarter sawn white oak. Copper countertops were a unique feature built into the home, as well as a Michigan maple butcher block counter top completed the island design. Great care was taken to incorporate many of the homeowner's artifacts salvaged from turn of the century Detroit homes.
